Adult Movies on HD-DVD
With all the uproar over High Definition DVDs,
AdamEve.com has prepared a basic guide outlining the differences and
options for consumers.
HD-DVD Adult Movies – What’s the
difference?
Simply put, HD-DVD adult movies mean picture quality
like you have never experienced before.
- Six times the resolution of standard DVD
- INTENSE close-ups you’ve only dreamed about
- Realistic, lifelike pictures with an almost 3-D feel you will
never see with standard DVD
- Amazing detail, clarity, and richness of color
AdamEve.com reviewers watch thousands of hours of adult movies every
year, but even they are blown away by the sheer difference between
regular and HD DVDs.
Here’s what a few of them had to say about the new
format:
“It’s the most intense video sex I've ever seen.”
“On a big screen, it’s almost like being on a porn set.”
“HD sex pushes the edge. This is for people who want the hottest,
most in-your-face action they can find.”
“For anybody with a big-screen TV and a love of video, an HD player
is a must-have under the Christmas tree.”
What Exactly is HD?
HD is short for High Definition, which is the new
standard for televisions. HD televisions display special content
with far clearer and crisper images than ever before. But to make
the most out of your HD TV, you need a specialized DVD player that
can replicate these more detailed images.
HD DVD players have six times more resolution than
any standard DVD player. Current DVDs display 480 lines high by 720
lines wide at 345,600 pixels of resolution. But HD DVDs display
images almost 6x better with 1,080 lines high by 1,920 lines wide
at 2,073,600 pixels of resolution. HD DVDs also provide huge amounts
more information at far faster rates than regular DVDs.
This increase in data and speed provide:
- Amazing clarity, color, depth, and contrast
- The most advanced, highest quality audio
- Extra features and add-ons
- The potential for amazing interactive features
7 Reasons to Pick HD-DVD
1. HD DVD is the authorized successor to DVD.
No other high definition format is even allowed to use “DVD” in
their name.
2. Reviews have been almost unanimous that HD
DVD has the best high-def picture quality.
3. HD DVD players determine and adjust their
output to optimize the capabilities of your HDTV.
4. Only HD DVD is able to display all your
current DVDs in almost HD quality.
5. Only HD VDD is able to offer hybrid disks,
which offer movies in standard DVD resolution on one-side and a HD
version on the other side.
6. The cost of HD DVD players is half that of
other HD systems
7. Disk replication costs are reasonable, so
disk prices will stay low.
Converts Current DVDs to almost HD Quality
The HD DVD allows you to play ALL you current DVDs
with almost HD quality. The HD A2 uses its state-of-art HDMI
interface to read ordinary DVDs at a higher resolution than regular
DVD players, resulting in a stunning improvement in picture quality
for your complete DVD library.
Hybrid disks
Only HD DVD can offer HD DVD on one side of a disks
and standard DVD on the other. Watch HD in one room on an HDTV and
HD DVD player. If you have a standard player or standard TV in
another room, simply flip the disk and watch the movie on that
system.
Other HD formats
The other main HD disc format is Blu-Ray by Sony.
We carefully evaluated both HD options before
deciding that HD-DVD offers customers the best all-around option.
Reasons why we think HD-DVDs are better than
Blu-Ray
- Almost every review indicates HD DVD provides
better picture quality
- Blu-Ray does not do a good job converting standard DVDs
- Blu-Ray does not offer the ability to create hybrid disks (HD on
one side DVD on the other)
- The least expensive Blu-Ray player costs $999, twice the cost of
a similar HD DVD
- Blu-Ray disks are more expensive to produce, and the higher price
is passed on to customers.
